Why "The Great Gatsby" is my favorite book?
" The Great Gatsby" by N. Scott Fitzgerald takes place in Long Island in the early twenties. Gatz is usually from a lesser class Midwestern farming family members who falls into love while using wealthy well bread Daisy. The two are unable to marry and live happily ever after as they are coming from vastly differing backgrounds and interpersonal status. Gatz enlists inside the military and upon the final of his service is befriended by a wealthy patrocinador who engages him " in a hazy personal capacity". Gatz's job provides him the opportunity to begin to see the world, and experience existence on the other side from the social strata. His escapades allow him to transform himself and upon the death of his patrocinador, Gatsby buys a estate on Li, near the now married Daisy, and begins the process of recapturing her party favors. The fast-paced 1920's eastern existence of the wealthy and well known, and the problems of one man-Gatsby-to rise above his past, origins and misplacing his that means in life to one, undeserved woman-a well-hidden interesting depth of which means and understanding of what human beings should shoot for and sadly what many miss was clearly stated in the new.
As I speak with my fellow classmates concerning this novel, I get the feeling that many confusing this story and primary theme of the book: even as try to go into the future-be this for our ambitions, completion, happiness, or perhaps love, and turn into our dreams into realities-as Gatsby so desperately strived...
