The chili pepper is the fresh fruit of plant life from the genus Capsicum, associates of the nightshade family, Solanaceae. The term in British The english language and in Down under, New Zealand, India, Malaysia and other Asian countries is just chilli without " pepper". Chili peppers originated in the Unites states. After the Columbian Exchange, a large number of cultivars of chili pepper spread around the globe, used in both equally food and medicine. India is the planet's largest producer, consumer and exporter of chili peppers. Among that the city of Guntur in Andhra Pradesh generates 30% of all the chilies manufactured in India, plus the state of Andhra Pradesh contributes to 73% of all the chilli exports by India.

-Capsicum annuum is a domesticated species of the plant genus Capsicum local to the southern area of North America and northern South America. -This varieties is the most common and substantially cultivated with the five domesticated capsicums. The species encompasses a wide variety of shapes and sizes of peppers, both gentle and warm, ranging from bell peppers to chili potatoes. In the past a lot of woody forms of this types have been known as C. frutescens, but the features that were accustomed to distinguish these forms come in many populations of C. annuum and no regularly recognizable C. frutescens types.
